Frances LaDell Gibson Holland, 96, of Wynne, Arkansas, formerly of West Helena, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord March 24, 2013. Dell was born October 11, 1916, near Portland, Arkansas, to the late Charlie and Carrie Hudson Gibson. Her brothers Rev. Zack Evans Gibson and Rev. Charles Gibson also predeceased her. She married J.P. Holland while working in Crossett, Arkansas, and it was there that their daughter Sharon was born. They relocated to West Helena in 1962 where their life was centered around family, friends, and serving their Lord and Savior at the West Helena Baptist Church. J.P. passed away in 1979. Failing health required Dell to resettle to Wynne with her daughter and son-in-law Sharon and Vance Lawson. Her last nine years there were enriched by her two beloved grandchildren Robert and Sarah Lawson.

A celebration of her life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Helena. The service will be conducted by her nephew Rev. David Crouch with burial following at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service at 2:00 p.m.

Pallbearers are Robert Lawson, Larry Lawson, Wayne Carlisle, Carl Frein, Ken Johnson and Terry Westmoreland.

Memorials may be made to the West Helena Baptist Church, 702 Plaza Street, West Helena, AR 72390 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
