HUDSON, Birdie - Mrs. Birdie Hudson, wife of G.W. Hudson, died Monday night at their home in the north part of town near the sanitarium at the age of 41 years after an illness of more than a year. The funeral was held at the home yesterday afternoon at 2:30, conducted by Rev. W.M. Yancey, pastor of the Central M.E. church and her body was laid to rest in the Rogers cemetery. She was a devoted wife and mother and her departure is mourned by her husband and eight children, the youngest being two years old, and to whom sympathy is extended by the community.
