Mary Sue Scrivner, 81, of Dell, AR., passed from this life Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.

Born in Dell, AR., to Walter L. and Diamond Annette Boren Dyre Sr.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Dell Baptist Church. Sue was active in her church as a youth Sunday School teacher, a former church secretary and was involved with the Prayer Shawl ministry at the First Christian Church of Sherwood, AR., and was instrumental in bringing the Prayer Shawl ministry to the Dell Baptist Church. She was involved in Farmers in the Dell Relay for Life Team. Sue loved to crochet and make quilts and other handcrafts and was a member of the Red Hatters.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Scrivner Jr.; daughter, Terrecia Scrivner Gougler; great grand-daughter, Alexis Stanley; brother, Walter L. Dyre Jr. and sister, Lynn Wheat.

Sue is survived by her children, Debby Scrivner of Dell, AR, Janice Jones and husband, Kenny of Manila, AR and Joy Cagle and husband, Don Jr. of Sherwood, AR and sister, Carol Lammers and husband, Louis of Dell, AR.

Funeral services were in Cobb Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.
