Oliver - October 19, 1872 - November 17, 1956
Oliver Hopson Mooty, aged 84, of Camden Route 2, died at his home in the Mt. Horeb community Saturday morning. Mr. Mooty was born October 19, 1872 in Union County, but has lived most of his life in Ouachita County. He was the son of Joel and Mary Milner Mooty. He was a member of the Champion Hill Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife, one daughter, Mrs. W. E. Lewis of Camden; two sons, Morris Mooty of Moss Point, Miss., and Ellis Mooty of Camden; two grandchildren, Billy Mooty and Edwin Lewis, and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Champion Hill Presbyterian Church, but the time has not been sent. Burial will be in Mt. Horeb cemetery by Proctor Funeral home. (Camden News - November 17, 1956)
