Virginia Nell Brown, 90, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, died March 21, 2012, at The Veteran's Nursing Center, Mt Vernon. Born October 6, 1921, in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Hervey Tupper Corn, and Agnes Cossel Corn. She was a World War II Veteran, receiving an honorable discharge as a WAAC member in the US Army. She was a member of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars and the First Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her former husband and father of her children, Dave J Brown; three children, Flora Marie Hall, George Tupper Brown, and Rutha Della Brown; and three sisters, Mary Robinson, Della Webb, and Madda Lou.

Survivors include one daughter, Maxine Hamilton and husband John of Starkville, Mississippi; three granddaughters, Valerie Baldwin of Verona, Missouri, Cindy Wellbaum of Pierce City, Missouri, and Virginia Hamilton of Starkville, Mississippi; one grandson, Jesse Hamilton and wife Cassie of Columbus, Mississippi; four great grandchildren; Beau Spangler, Jeremy Worm, Michael Wellbaum, and Alexandria Baldwin; and one great great grandchild, Ocie Virginia Spangler.
