Monday,September 15, 1975
John W. Skelton, 90, West Fork, died Sept. 14 in a Fayetteville hospital. Born July 21, 1885, in Chenney, Kan., he was the son of F.J. and Ellie Goldsborough Skelton and was a member of Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary McGee Skelton of the home; one son, Melvin Skelton, West Fork; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Underhill, Monett, Mo., and Mrs. Edith Karnes, Little Rock; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Mineral Springs Church, with Rev. Amos Watkins and Maurice Hoskins officiating. Burial will be in Mineral Springs Cemetery under direction of Nelson Funeral Home of Fayetteville.
