ROUNDS, Charles M. - Charles Rounds, a farmer on Prairie Creek, east of Rogers, dropped dead from heart disease Monday night. He was 56 years of age.

Charlie Rounds, well known resident on Prairie Creek, dropped dead Tuesday night about 8:30 from heart trouble and complications at the age of 56 years. Mr. Rounds was a resident of Kansas before coming to Rogers many years ago. He was an accomplished musician and a well educated man but ill health had prevented him taking a very active part in the community life. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Theron Alexander Wednesday at 3 o'clock at the Presbyterian church with burial in the Rogers cemetery. Mr. Rounds is survived by his widow and seven children, one daughter, Mrs. Maude Kelley, having preceded him in death. The sons who survive are Charley of Tulsa, Okla.; Willie, Howard and Raymond of Rogers, and the daughters are Mrs. Emma Roland and Mrs. Ted Kelly.

Chas. M. Rounds was born in a village on the banks of the Hudson in 1872. He lived there until he was seven years old when his parents moved to western Kansas in Osborne county. Thirty-seven years ago last February Mr. Rounds was married and thirty-five years ago moved to Rogers. He passed away on May 6th at his home east of Rogers and left a wife and seven children. The sons who survive are Charley of Tulsa; Willie, Howard and Raymond of Rogers, and the daughters are Mrs. Emma Roland and Mrs. Ted Kelly. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Theron Alexander May 8th at the Presbyterian church, with burial in the Rogers cemetery.
