ROUND, James - {from The Rogers Journal} James Round, aged 56 years, died suddenly Monday morning about 10 o'clock while in Dr. Pennington's office on Walnut street. Mr. Round had been feeling badly for the past several days and had gone to Dr. Pennington's office for medical aid. After prescribing for the sick man the physician told him that he was threatened with a severe case of pneumonia and advised him to go home and go to bed. As Mr. Round was in the act of leaving Dr. Pennington's office he sank into a chair near the door and fell from the chair dead upon the office floor, having suffered a stroke of apoplexy. His remains were removed to the family residence in the northeast part of town, where the body was prepared for burial. The funeral and burial will take place Tuesday. Mr. Round has been employed as engineer by H.M. Buck and was a hard working man. The family and friends have the sympathy of all in their bereavement.

ROUNDS, J.M. - J.M. Rounds of this city died very suddenly Monday noon in the office of Dr. Pennington in the McGaughey building. Mr. Rounds was not feeling well and had gone to Dr. Pennington for medicine. While the doctor was preparing the medicine Mr. Rounds seated himself on a chair. As the doctor handed him the medicine Rounds said, "Doctor, I'm feeling awful bad," and without the slightest warning fell from the chair to the floor. Death was practically instantaneous and he was dead when the doctor reached him. Rounds was 55 years of age, heavily built, and about medium height. He had been subject to heart trouble for some time. The remains were taken to Springdale this morning for interment and we understand funeral services will be held there. Mr. Rounds had been miller at the grist mill of H.M. Buck the past year or so and before that had been with the Rogers Milling Co. Mr. Rounds leaves a wife and one son, Chas. Rounds, who resides on Prairie Creek. He has been married several times. He stood well in the estimation of his friends and his sudden death was a great shock to them.
