Nathaniel Freeman
CAVE SPRINGS — Nathaniel Matthew Freeman, 86, of Cave Springs died Feb. 10, 1996, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. He was born Aug. 12, 1909, in Driftwood (Lawrence County) to Gustavis Edward and Rhoda Croney Freeman. He was a vaccination crew leader for many years with several area poultry firms, including Ralston-Purina hatchery, Hudson Foods, Ed Curtis Chick Service and Arbor Acres egg production. He was a member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church, a resident of Cave Springs since 1930 and enjoyed fishing and gardening. He was preceded in death by his wife, Floy Ethel Pace Freeman, in 1974.
Survivors include four daughters, Sybil Freeman, Norene Freeman, Janet Neill and Sandra Hyatt, all of Cave Springs; two brothers, John Freeman of Rochelle, Ill., and Paul Miller of Elm Springs; two sisters, Donna Ruge of Vancouver, Wash., and Lena Brauner of Citrus Heights, Calif.; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sisco Chapel in Springdale with the Rev. J.B. Manning officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hebron Cemetery at Cave Springs.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Phil Garrison, Alan Hall, Alan Huskey, Jeff Huskey, Scott Neill, Stephen Neill and Jeff Williams.
