The Calico Rock Progress, Calico Rock, Arkansas, September 20, 1935:
Illness is Fatal To Miss Lois Langston
After an illness of several days, Miss Lois Langston, aged 23, died at her home in the east part of town last Saturday afternoon, September 14th. Her death was not unexpected, as she had contracted complications that made her recovery doubtful.
She was born at Rodney, the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Langston. She moved to Calico Rock with her parents nearly four years ago. She attended Calico Rock High School, graduating in 1931. She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church of this place and was very active in church work. She was held in high esteem by all who knew her, and her passing is a source of deep regret.
Funeral services were held at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church Sunday morning at 9:30, conducted by Rev. W. R. Reid of Searcy. Interment was at Wayland Arbor Sunday afternoon, Rev. R. Robertson of Mt. Olive conducting services at the grave.
Surviving, besides her parents, are two sisters, Mrs. Ezma McClellan and Miss Vivian Langston.
