John Franklin Hinkle 76, of Route 5, Fayetteville, died today in a Rogers hospital. Born Sept. 14, 1906, at Fayetteville, the son of Will and Minnie Wilson Hinkle, he was a lifetime resident of the area, and a Protestant.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs Lillian McBroom Hinkle of the home; two sons, James of Subiaco and Wayne of Anderson, Mo., a daugher, Mrs. C. H. (Helene) Fitzgerald of Fayetteville; a sister, Mrs Lela Jones of Florence, S.C.; and six grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Moore's Chapel with burial in Buckner Cemetery.

Lillian Hinkle, 82, of the Wyman Community, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1993, at her home. Born Dec. 15, 1910, at Konawa, Okla., the daughter of Lawrence and Doyle Cartwright McBroom, she was a homemaker and former employee of the Veterans Administration Medical Center, where she worked in the dietary department, She was a Protestant. She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Hinkle, on April 6, 1983.

Survivors are two sons, Wayne Hinkle of Anderson, Mo., and James Hinkle of Russellville; a daughter, Helene Fitzgerald of Fayetteville; two brothers, Homer McBroom of Fayetteville and Eulus McBroom of Springdale; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Moore's Chapel with the Rev. Larry Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Buckner Cemetery under the direction of Moore's Chapel. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today and 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be John Fitzgerald, Mark Hinkle, Ricky West, Lester Hinkle, Darrel Meredith Jr., and Gary Lensing.
