Joy Frances May Brown, 88, of Jacksonville went to be with her Lord on March 1, 2011. She was born December 7, 1922 to Napoleon H. May and Lotus A. Henderson May in Greenbrier, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 47 years Vernon E. Brown, one brother, J.W. May and four sisters, Margie Colbert, Eloise Risner, Sibyl Smith and Geneva Smith. Survivors include one son, Francis E. "Pete" Brown of Jacksonville, two grandsons, three great-granddaughters, two sisters, Adele (Bill) Durham of Shreveport, La. and Patsy Earnheart of Cabot, and four special sisters-in-law and their husbands.
