WRIGHT, Florence STANLEY - Mrs. Florence Stanley Wright, wife of Alex Wright, died at the family home in the Valley View community Saturday morning after a long illness. She lacked a few months of being 65 years old. Funeral services were held at the Valley View school building Sunday afternoon, the Rev. W.C. Hutton and the Rev. Sam Marrs of Cane Hill officiating. The funeral was largely attended. Burial was made in the Oakes cemetery. Mrs. Wright was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.B. Stanley and was born in Mason Valley in 1867. When two years old her parents moved to Valley View, buying a farm on Sugar Creek adjoining the Wright farm where Mr. Wright was born. The couple have lived on the Wright farm continuously since their marriage in 1882. To them were born three children, two of whom died in infancy. A daughter, Mrs. Alta Henry, survives. Rev. Marrs is a nephew of Mr. Wright. Mrs. Wright was loved by all who knew her and during her three years illness bore her suffering cheerfully, knowing her end might come at any time. She will be sadly missed by a large circle of friends of many years standing. Surviving Mrs. Wright are her husband, her daughter, Mrs. Sam Henry, and a sister, Mrs. Jim Hiner, and other relatives.
