Martha Jean (Hall) Thompson was born on October 11, 1945, to the Late Harvey Red Hall and Rosie Lee (Burgie) Hall in the Morning Star Neighborhood in EL Dorado Ar. Martha Jean was accepted Christ at an Early Age at Morning Star Baptist Church #2 where her membership remained.



Martha Jean was a Graduate of Washington High School Class Of 1964 and Martha Jean's life journey began as a wife, mother and all-time working career. Martha Jean started working at J&M Poultry (Which is known now as Conagra/Pilgrim Pride) Exchange Bank (Downtown) and later transferred to Simmons Bank of Pine Bluff, Ar. where she worked as the BEST Banker for 32 years before retiring. After Retiring in 2012, Martha Jean moved back to her original stomping grounds Morning Star, EL Dorado, Ar. where she became the "Go To" of the community. You could always find everyone at Martha Jean's.



Martha Jean was proceeded in her death by her parents, her husband Robert Thompson Sr, Two Sons: Gregory Wheeler and Wendell Thompson Sr. One Grand-daughter Erica Thompson, One Brother Thomas Ray Hall, One Nephew that was more like her son Gregory "Gleek" Savannah, Four Aunts: Odessa Carter, Arizona Amis, Arma Nunley and Earlie Teen Brown, Five Uncles; Sam, J.Hue, Jack and Garland Burgie and Willie Seales.



Martha Jean leaves her precious memories; Daughters Joyce Hall Brice and Dierdra Harris of El Dorado AR, Felita Thompson of Crossett, AR, Sons; Maurice Gafford of Little Rock, AR and Dorian Thompson Sr. (Rochell) of El Dorado, AR and Robert Bobby Thompson Jr. of Crossett, AR, Three Sisters: Erma Hall Savannah and Barbra Hall Hanson(Roy) Both of El Dorado, AR and Janie Soils of Los Angeles, Ca, One brother Curtis Hall of El Dorado, Ar. 16 Grandchildren, 30 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Children, And a Host of many of family and friends.
