June 14, 1937 - December 29, 2022
Marvin “David” Jones, 85, of Little Rock, AR and a native of Junction City, AR passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022 at St Vincent’s Infirmary in Little Rock.
David was born June 14, 1937, in Junction City, AR to the union of Marvin Watson Jones and Fay Edith White Jones.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
David graduated from Junction City High School in 1955 and attended Louisiana Tech. He worked for Wickes Lumber Corporation and managed stores in Crossett, AR, Jonesboro, AR, and Ruston, LA. He was an avid reader, loved history and was an Arkansas Razorback fan.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Martha Tanner Jones, of Little Rock, brother, Bennie F. Jones, of Batesville, MS, sister, Mona Jones Brantley and husband Jerry of Shreveport, LA, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Bailey Funeral Home in Junction City, AR.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Roselawn Cemetery with Rev. Nathan Dupree officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of Junction City, AR.
