*When Gracie Lee Whiteacre was born on August 15, 1925, in Pangburn, Arkansas, her father, William, was 19, and her mother, Minnie, was 18. She married Odis Lafayette James on November 20, 1942, in her hometown. They had 14 children in 12 years. She died on November 24, 1961, in Pangburn, Arkansas, at the age of 36, and was buried there.
