Thomas Monroe James, age 69, of Pangburn, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on December 28, 2018. Born December 4, 1949 in Pangburn, Arkansas he was the son of the late Odus L. and Gracie Whitacre James. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Pangburn.
He loved singing and playing southern gospel music. He taught his grandchildren singing and guitar as they showed interest in learning. He loved his church family and was a past Royal Ranger Commander at First Assembly in Pangburn. His wife stated he dearly loved his family and his church family.
Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jerry Taylor and one brother Porter James.
He survivors include his wife, Brenda Sewell James; four sons, James Kriess of Minnesota, Thomas E. James of Parsons, Kansas, Travis Taylor of Pangburn, Arkansas and Heath Taylor and wife Nena of Providence, Arkansas; two daughters, Tricia Anderson and husband Joe of Searcy, Arkansas and Kimberly Witaker of Parsons, Kansas; six brothers, Jeralddean James of Arizona, Levi James and wife Pam of Bradford, Arkansas, Pete James and wife Wilma of Kensett, Arkansas, Steve James and wife Leigh of McRae, Arkansas, Wendell James of Searcy, Arkansas and Clark James and wife Toni of West Pangburn, Arkansas; six sisters, Cora Bell James of Pangburn, Arkansas, Jeanetta James of Arizona, Louise Duncan of Pangburn, Martha Davis of Pangburn, Arkansas, Betty Hatfield and husband Silas of Searcy, Arkansas and Virginia Knapp and husband Alfred of Wilburn, Arkansas; seventeen grandchildren; twenty three great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews and many, many friends.
A graveside memorial service will be 11:00 am, Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Henderson Cemetery in Pangburn, Arkansas with Brother Kenneth Rolland officiating. Online obituary: www.heberspringsfuneralhome.com
