*Obituary
John T. Williams was a hero, but not in
the throes of battle, but in the walk of
his everyday life. An exemplary husband
who thought his wife of nearly 60 years
was still the most beautiful woman in the
room. He was also the model father and
grandfather whom all the prospective
husbands are masured.
He had many hobbies, including artifact
hunting & taxidermy, but his two passions
in life after his wife, were fishing
and flying.

During the latter years, he added
friends from the dialysis center to his
family circle. The last few years were
a struggle, but the abundance of memories
he inspired are a testament to the man
he was.

John, age 77, was the retired owner of
Williams Pallet & Lumber co; was a
resident of Van Buren and charter member
of Heritage Methodist Church of Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife, Majana of the
home; three daughters; Deborah Ann Echols
of Van Buren, Tami Dawn Wheeler and
husband Todd of Van Buren, and Sami
Welch of Van Buren; one son, John Michael
Williams & wife Gayle of Van Buren, one aunt, Mildred Moore of Gober, Texas;
six grandchildren; John Russell Echols
and wife Angela, Michael Jason Echols
wife Lindsay, John Marc Wheeler, Ashlee
Paige Wheeler, John Eric Williams and
Misty Ann Smith; 10 gr- grandchildren;
Zach, Rhianna, Taylor, Beth, Nathan,
Laryssa, Bradley, Ariauna, Mariah & Caden.

*Obituary
Majana Garner Williams passed away peacefully in her home Wednesday, March 2, 2022. Majana was born in Ravenna, Texas in 1932 to John Henry and Georgia Leah Garner.

At the tender age of eighteen she and the love of her life, John Talmadge Williams, Eloped across the state line and were married in Oklahoma. Whatever that JP said must have stuck, because death was the only thing to separate them some 59 years later. Majana had an enigmatic personality infused with homespun Texan wit and wisdom. Her stories from her time as the director of Bost Human Development Center could warm your heart and curl your toes, sometimes simultaneously. There were other jobs before that, but Bost is the one which took her heart and expanded her wardrobe, especially shoes.

Jana and her late husband John leave three children to carry their memory: Deborah Ann Echols, John Michael Williams (Gayle), Tami Dawn Wheeler (Todd), and bonus daughter Sami Sue Welch, all of Van Buren. She will be missed by her six grandchildren: John Russell Echols (Angela), Jason Echols, John Eric Williams, Misty Williams (Eric), John Marc Wheeler (Ruschelle), and Ashlee Allen (Mikey); also six great-grandchildren Zach (Casey), Rhianna (Colt), Ariauna (Isaac), Miariah, Caden, and Bradley; seven great-great grands Jaxxon, Sunny, Macie, Colt, Hadleigh, Oliver, and Jiraiya, with #8 due in September.

Funeral service will be 10AM, Friday March 4, 2022 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons Rusty, Eric, Jason, Marc, and great grandsons Zach, Caden and Bradley.
