The son of John & Izibiah "Zibiah" Banton Carter. George's father died 1805. Zibiah remarried before 1810 because her and Ramsey had a son born in Tennessee William W Ramsey who is my 2nd great grandfather. George W Carter and William W Ramsey are brothers.
