Geneva Lanette Evans, age 78 of Hampton, died Friday, December 13, 2019 at her home. She was born April 22, 1941 in Calhoun County, Arkansas. She was a member of Faustina Baptist Church near Hampton. She is preceded in death by her parents, Birdie McCann and Madie Evans McCann; one daughter, Sherry Evans; four brothers, Vecial McCann, Lecial McCann, Doyce McCann, and Winnon McCann; and two sisters, Genural Stowe and Trudy Evans. Lanette is survived by her husband of sixty two years, Stewart Wayland Evans of Hampton; five sons, Danny (Keita) Evans of West Monroe, LA, Steve Evans of Hampton, Kevin (Beverly) Evans of Hampton, Keith (Darcey) Evans of Hampton and Jeff Evans of Hampton; two daughters, Tina (Bob) Keener of Little Rock, Cindy (Doug) Easterling of Thornton; three sisters, Nervalene Porter of Fayetteville, TN, Juanice Steger of Thornton, and Erna Faye Grant of McGehee; sixteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Hampton. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday at First Baptist Church with Rev.
