Dimple V. Jackson, 90, a resident of London, departed this life to be with her Lord on February 14, 2014, at her home. She was born March 3, 1923, at London, to the late Albert and Clara Sims Whorton. She was preceded in death by her husband, of 65 years, Robert “Bob” Jackson; and brother, Calvin Whorton.
She was a retired clerk with General Telephone Company and was a member of London Assembly of God Church.
Dimple is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Chris Miller of London; sister and brother-in-law, Christine and R.J. “Gub” Cochran of London; brother and sister-in-law, John and Lucy Whorton of London; grandson, John Williams of Clarksville; granddaughter, Kristen Williams of Ft. Smith; great-grandson, Ayden Williams of Clarksville; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ruby Jackson, Elmer Jackson and Claude and Francis Jackson of Russellville, Melvin and Bobbie Jackson of Dardanelle and Naomi Jackson of Mustang Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, at Lemley Chapel with Rev. Jerry Schlinker and Rev. Claude Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins.
