Kenneth George New, 73, of Conway, passed away at his home Saturday, June 9, 2012. He was born April 14, 1939 in Conway, AR. Kenneth was preceded in death by his father George Winfred New.

Kenneth was a long time member of the First Church Of The Nazarene in Conway, and a veteran of the Arkansas National Guard. He was proprietor of New's Muffler and Welding for 15 years, and retired from the Iron Workers Local 321 in Little Rock, AR. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. Kenneth was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed all family activities, especially attending all of his granchildrens sporting events. Kenneth will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Carolyn Ward New, his mother, Coy New of Conway, two sons, Kenneth Wayne New (Karen) of Greenbrier, and Neal Winfred New (Nancy) of Conway, two daughters, Deborah Carolyn (New) McBride, and McKenzie Lynn West both of Conway, two sisters, Sammie Lou Godwin of Bryant, AR., and Velma Hoggard (Tommy) of Conway, AR., seven grandchildren, Jeremy Rhoades, Brandy Cunningham, Rebecca Perkins, Amanda Phillips, Whitney West, Cicely New, and Samantha McBride, four great-grandchildren, Adrian Pinkston, Lex Rhoades, Xavier Jenkins, Malik Perry, and several neices and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at First Church of The Nazarene at Faulkner & Scott St. in Conway, with Bro. Everett Lybarger Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Bryan Ward, Shane Palmer, Nathan Cunningham, Wesley Ward, Mitch Ward, and Alan West. Kenneth's friends from the Iron Workers Local #321 will be serving as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the church. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Odyssey Hospice, and doctors, David Martin, and Tyrone Lee.

Etta Carolyn “Ward” New, 76, of Conway passed away Wednesday, September 3rd at 3:15 a.m. She was born May 2, 1938 in Conway. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth George New, her father and her mother, Neal F. Ward and Mary Lucille Ward, one brother, Robert Neal Ward.

She was a lifelong member of the First Church of The Nazarene, where she played the piano for many years and taught numerous Sunday School Classes and Childrens Church. Carolyn retired from 1st National Bank of Conway, and was proprietor with Kenneth of News Muffler and Welding. Carolyn loved her church, her family and friends with a big heart. She loved all family activities, camping, ballgames and much more. Carolyn will be greatly missed by all.

Carolyn is survived by two sons, Kenneth Wayne New (Karen), Neal Winfred New (Nancy), one daughter, Deborah Carolyn (New) McBride, three brothers, Lynn Ward, Richard (Betty) Ward, James Ward, two sisters, Sara Andrews, Lavonne ( Charles) Harrell, seven grandchildren, Jeremy (Allison) Rhodes, Brandy (Nathan) Cunningham, Rebecca Perkins, Amanda (Derek) Phillips, Whitney West, Cicely New and Samantha McBride, five great-grandchildren, Adrian Pinkston, Kenzie West, Lexi Rhodes, Xavier Jenkins, Malik Perry, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, September 6, 2014 at First Church of The Nazarene in Conway, with Bro. Everett Lybarger officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Shane Palmer( & Larson Palmer), Logan Palmer, Xavier Jenkins, Bryan Ward, Allen West, Derek Phillips, and Tim Andrews. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.
