When Glen George New was born on August 29, 1875, in Cleburne, Arkansas, his father, John, was 36 and his mother, Nancy, was 25. He married Elsie Rice on October 17, 1909, in his hometown. They had ten children in 21 years. He died on July 19, 1959, in Arkansas at the age of 83.
