Bertha Anne Oakley, 83, of Monroe, Mich., formerly of Tyronza, died Friday, Oct. 4, 2002.
She was a retired produce manager and she and her husband, Buford Oakley, founded the Apostolic Church in Tyronza in the early '70s.
She is survived by a son, Stephen Hopkins of Leesburg, Fla.; a daughter, Jean Steller of Jackson, Mich.; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral service was Thursday, Oct. 10, at the Nichols Cemetery (Red Oak Community) in Marked Tree. Brother T. R. Foster officiated the ceremony.
Active pallbearers were family and friends.
