E.C. "Lige" Eversole, 73, of Rogers, died Monday in the Rogers Memorial Hospital. He was born June 19, 1905 in Combs.
He was affiliated with the Eversole Stave Company and the Eversole-Means Lumber Co. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Rogers, serving as a trustee and former board chairman. He was president of Timber Treated Products and a member of the Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite. He was a former city councilman and former director of Associated Cooperage Industries of America.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys of the home; one son, Clayton Eversole of Rogers; three brothers, Carl Eversole and Gerald Eversole, both of Houston, Texas and Rex Eversole of Roseville, Calif.; one sister, Buena Hall of Fayetteville; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Callison Funeral Home Chapel in Rogers with the Rev. Howard Cupp officiating. Burial will be in the Benton County Memorial Park.
A memorial has been established at the First Christian Church in Rogers in lieu of flowers.
