William
1831-1915
William was preceded in death by his wife Nancy B. Norris. He is survived by his children, Mary Elizabeth (Savell), Olinger, Emily E. Savell, Maranda Savell, Harriet Savell, Jane Savell, and Zollie Cofer Savell. William moved to Birchwood, Meigs County, TN where all of his children were born. Sometime while in the Civil War, he got frost bite on his feet and from that time on, he had to wear special made shoes. He was a very tall man some say 7' or taller. His daughter married Andrew Jackson Olinger of Jackson County, AL. His son married Margaret Olinger, a sister of Harriet Ellen, Olinger. William's daughter married Luke Duncan. William's son, Zollie bought and sold many large plats (sections) of land in and around Franklin County, AR, he became a wealthy man.
