SPRINGDALE — Glen Eugene Puryear, 81, of Springdale died Dec. 16, 1999, at Springdale Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born June 14, 1918, at Spring Valley to David Young and Bertha Lee Morris Puryear.
He was a World War II veteran of the Army Air Force and was a carpenter. He attended Berry Street Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Della I. Parsons Puryear, in 1995.
Survivors include one son, Gary Puryear of Springdale; two daughters, Carleen Wilson of Tulsa, Okla., and Carolyn Culbert of Rogers; two brothers, Autry Puryear of Springdale and Curtis Puryear of Broken Arrow, Okla.; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Sisco Chapel of Springdale with the Rev. Richard Perry officiating. Burial will be in Morriss Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jim Clardy, Henry Hawley, Harry Joyner, Ralph Parsons, Kenneth Puryear, Lawrence Puryear, Lester Puryear and Doyle Snodgrass.
Visitation will begin at 2:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
