Sonora — Norma Sutton, 75, of Sonora died March 11, 2006, at Fayetteville. She was born Jan. 15, 1931, in Lurton to Ace and Nancy Smith Gilmore. She was a schoolteacher and a member of Sonora Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by one son, Robert Kevin Sutton, and one daughter, Karen Elizabeth Sutton.

Survivors include her husband, Grover Sutton of the home, to whom she was married Aug. 11, 1950; one son, Mark Sutton of Springdale; two brothers, Odell Gilmore of Danville, Calif., and Bill Gilmore of Bremerton, Wash.; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Sonora Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Williams officiating. Burial will be in Sonora Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale. The family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.
