Mrs. Frances “Pauline” Brazear Cargile, 93, of Conway, passed away Monday, April 26, 2010.

Mrs. Cargile was born November 16, 1916 in Conway to the late Sylvester Brazear and Bessie Johnson Brazear.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two young sons, Jerry Lee Cargile and Jerry Dean Cargile, and two grandsons, Danny Hull and Doyne Lynn Hull.

She is also preceded in death by seven siblings, Juline Harold, Floy Mae McPherson, Russell Doyne, Lucille Clare Tarkington, Helen Irene Paulos, Jack Kenneth Brazear and Myrtle Sue Cupit.

Mrs. Cargile married Thomas Ewell Cargile in 1936 and from that union she had six children.

Her life was mostly spent in Faulkner County. She said there was no place like Arkansas.

A lot of her time was spent working out of the home at different jobs. The other times were spent in her vegetable and flower gardens, keeping the leaves raked up and putting them in her compost, hence good soil for her gardens.

She was a fantastic canner. She would drive to the orchards and pick peaches, come home and can them. She also canned beets, tomatoes, etc.

Pauline was also a wonderful cook, making fried pies, mile high biscuits, and chicken and dressing.

In her early years, she would cook on her wood range. Food tasted so much better.

Pauline attended Little Country Church Outreach and Jesus Is The Way Bible Study. She was very faithful.

She is survived by four children, Lois Hull of Conway, Betty (Bill) Abbott of Conway, Tom Cargile of Conway and Gene Cargile of Cleveland, Ark.; seven grandchildren, Jimmy Lee Hull, David Wayne, Linda Gail (Jeff) Carney, Doyce Edmon, Jr., and Chad Stevens, all of Conway, Tami (Guy) Heagney of Austin, Texas, and Kamara (Graham) McWilliam, of Manchester, England; 19 great-grandchildren and many, many great, great grandchildren.

Special thanks to Hospice Home Care, nurses Mallory, Gayle, Donna and Tim; aide, Virginia Edwards; social worker Rachel Jolley; and all the staff; Dr. Stewart, and family doctor, Dr. David Naylor.

Also thanks to Home Instead Senior Care for the short time Mom was with them, especially aides Jean, Karen and Janie.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Home Care, 821A North Creek Drive, Conway, Ark. 72032.
