Clara Madie McCarty, 98, of Vilonia, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011. She was born in Vilonia on March 3, 1913 to the late Tony Swidersik and Frances Heslep Swiderski.
She was the widow of Harry J. McCarty and Arvil McNabb, a member of Oakland United Methodist Church in Holland and the Vilonia Senior Citizens Center.
She is survived by three brothers, Chuck Swiderski of Orange, Texas, George Swiderski of Marshall and Ardell Swiderski of North Little Rock; three grandchildren, Gregg Clements, Glen Clements and Grant Clements, all of Vilonia; two step-daughters, Melinda Drewry and Jo Davis; three great grandchildren, Ayndrea Clements, Phaylan Clements and Bobby Clements; two great-great grandchildren, Emmarsyn and Cavan Ballard; three step-grandchildren and four great step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Darce McNabb; daughter, Betty Clements Kerr; sister Maggie Rainer; and two brothers, Virgil and Lonnie Swiderski.
Services are 1 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Roller-McNutt Chapel in Conway with burial in Crestlawn. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Oakland United Methodist Church or the Vilonia Senior Citizens Center.
