George Arthur Hoover, 64, Winslow, died Oct. 31 in a Fayetteville hospital. Born March 10, 1910 at Crosses, he was the son of Robert and Laura Threet Hoover, a member of Winslow Assembly of God Church and a retired employe of Frisco Railroad.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lucille Hughes Hoover of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Ellen Smith, Winslow, and Mrs. Nelta Lewis, Alameda, Calif.; one brother, James Hoover, Webb City, Mo.; one sister, Mrs. Harrison Shipp, Winslow; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in Winslow Assembly of God Church. Burial will be in Brentwood Cemetery under the direction of Moore's Chapel of Fayetteville.

Lucille Marie Hoover, 88, of Fayetteville died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006, at Fayetteville Health & Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Nov. 21, 1917, in Brentwood, the daughter of Henry Hobson and Hattie May Parrish Hughes. She was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Hoover, on Oct. 31, 1974.

She was a retired nursing assistant and a member of the Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Nelta Faye Lewis and husband James of Springdale and Ellen Lovice Smith and husband Wayne of Winslow; one brother, Virgil Hughes of Lancaster, Calif.; five grandchildren, Crystal Taylor of Russellville, Dalene Luker of Springdale, Waynette Davidian of Fayetteville, Dan Lewis of Bentonville and Del Smith of Winslow; five great-grandchildren.

Private family services will be held.
