JOHN, T.W. - Last Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock Rev. Cook had the third funeral of the week. One of his old members over at Pond, Benton County, had died and they brought his body down here to be buried in the Lutheran cemetery. It was the old Rev. T.W. John. He was born Aug. 14, 1818 in Germany. Came to this country at the age of 30 years, was an active minister and pastor of the German Lutheran church in this country for over 45 years and retired seven years ago because of old age and increased weakness.
