Hazel Wharton, 89, of Blytheville, died Saturday (Feb. 10, 2006) at Gosnell Healthcare Center.
Born Jan. 9, 1917, in Vilonia to the late R. L. Teague and Ella Ramsey Teague, she lived in Vilonia until nine years ago, when she moved to Blytheville.
She was a member of the Vilonia United Methodist Church and was a former Sunday school teacher.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Wharton.
She is survived by two daughters, Martha Young of Blytheville, and Maxine Hunt of Tucson, Ariz.; one sister, Verna Weaver of Vilonia; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Vilonia United Methodist Church with Rev. David Baker officiating.
Burial will be in Cypress Valley Cemetery in Vilonia by Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, www.rollerfuneral- homes.com.
Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Vilonia United Methodist Church.
Pallbearers will be Roger Weaver, Randy Weaver, Joe Barnes, Bobby Williams, Craig I Williams and Manuel Almeida.
