ROGERS — H.C. Loard, 91, of Rogers died June 13, 2010. He was born June 29, 1918, in Hulver, Texas, to Tolbert and Willie Roye Loard.

He was a chemist for Phillips Petroleum.

Survivors include his wife, Latona.

Services will be private. Arrangements are by Callison-Lough Funeral Horne in Rogers.

BENTONVILLE — Latona H. Loard, 90, of Bentonville, died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011, at the Meadows in Bentonville. She was born in New Boston, Texas, on Feb. 9, 1921, to the late N.H. and Maude (Crawford) Huggins.

Latona received her bachelor of arts degree from Texas Women's University in Denton, Texas, and completed her master's of arts degree at West Texas State University. She taught English at the Frank Phillips College in Borger, Texas, for 35 years. Most recently she worked for Walmart stores from 1980 to 1987.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, H.C. Loard, who died in 2010.

Graveside services will be private under the direction of Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Rogers.

Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the charity of the donor's choosing.
