ROGERS — Howard Otho Wetzel, 104, of Rogers died Dec. 15, 2005, at Bentonville. He was born July 5, 1901, in Harveyville, Kan., to Charles Parvin and Jessie Parmiter Wetzel. He was a 1919 graduate of Harveyville High School, a farmer and a minister. He enjoyed fishing. He was a member of Downtown Church of Christ in Rogers. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Eliza Wetzel, three sons, Harlan, Charles L., and Harold and one daughter, Naomi.
Survivors include one son, Howard Wetzel Jr. of Carrizozo, N.M.; four daughters, Darlene Selby and husband Lyman of Topeka, Kan., Edna Donaghey of Dodge City, Kan., Juanita Harrirman and husband Leon of Rogers and Joyce Scaggs of Gentry; one daughter-in-law, Larue Wetzel of Carrizozo; 23 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Burial will be in Rogers Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 pm. Sunday at the funeral home.

Lucy Elizabeth Wetzel, 92, of Rogers died Friday, May 13, 1994, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers. Born Oct. 1, 1901, in Harveyville, Kan., the daughter of Stephen and Elizabeth Root DeWitt, she moved to this area in 1949 and was a member of the Downtown Church of Christ in Rogers and the American Association of Retired Persons.
Survivors are her husband, Howard 0. Wetzel of the home; a son Howard 0. Wetzel Jr. of Deming, N.M.; five daughters, Darlene Selby of Topeka, Kan., Larue Wetzel of Carrizozo, N.M., Edna Donnghey of Dodge City, Kan., Juanita Harriman of Rogers and Joyce Sraggs of Gentry; 24 grandchildren; and 40 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel in Rogers with Ronny Hinds officiating. Burial will be in Rogers Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
