Ruby Mae Lynn Parham, 95, of Fordyce died December 10, 2008 at St. John's Place in Fordyce. She was born January 21, 1913 to the late James N. and Birthel Johnson Lynn. For more than 60 years she was a member of Temperance Hill United Methodist Church where she served as pianist. After closing of the Temperance Hill Church, she became a member of First United Methodist Church of Fordyce. Ruby Mae was a long time member of the Wesleyan Circle, Delta Kappa Gamma Society, Order of the Eastern Star and American Legion Auxiliary. She was a retired teacher, having taught in the schools of Princeton, Kingsland, Thornton and Fordyce. Preceding her in death were her husband of 68 years, Reece Parham, granddaughters Melissa Haynie and Rebecca Harrison, sisters Juanita Monroe, Hazel Haralson, and Robbie Lamb. She is survived by a son, Reece Parham and wife Susie of Fayetteville; two daughters, Dorothy Parham of Hot Springs, Ruth Harrison and husband Bob of Fordyce; two brothers, James Lynn and wife Lois and William D. Lynn and wife Janette, all of Fordyce; and a sister Ilene Meyers of Oklahoma City, OK. Surviving grandchildren are Kim McCarty of Pine Bluff, Bobby Harrison of Little Rock, Doll Addison of Hot Springs, Adam Parham and Hunter Parham of Fayetteville and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6 to 9 pm Friday December 12, 2008 at Benton Funeral Home Chapel with Dusty Rhodes officiating. Burial at Temperance Hill Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Temperance Hill Cemetery Association, 2018 Parkwood Lane, Fordyce, AR 71742. Arrangements by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
