FAYETTEVILLE — The Rev. Raymond Wilson Fisher, 84, of Fayetteville died Dec. 27, 2002, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. He was born Jan. 18, 1918, in Waldron to Floyd and Lelia Fisher. He was honored as a youngster in his 4-H activities. He attended Arkansas Tech in Russellville, the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and the Perkins School of Theology at SMU in Dallas. He entered the ministry in 1948 and served churches in Arkansas and Oklahoma. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Army in the Aleutian Islands. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, ministering to the youth and visitation.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Ramey Fisher of the home, to whom he was married Aug. 5, 1944; one son, Larry Fisher of Springdale; one daughter, Danna Fisher Moore of Stevensville, Md; one brother, Glenn Fisher of Freelandville, Ind.; one step-grandson Michael C. Bidwell Jr.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Springdale with the Rev. David Scroggins officiating.

Burial will be in Elm Springs Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. today and throughout Monday, with the family present from 4 to 6 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Butterfield Trail Village Foundation, 1923 E. Joyce Blvd., Fayetteville, 72703.

FAYETTEVILLE — Helen Louise Ramey Fisher 92 of Fayetteville died March 17, 2011, at Butterfield Trail Village. She was born Aug. 26, 1918, at Brentwood, Ark, the daughter of Walter D. and Ethel Parker Ramey. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Springdale. She is a retired teacher with the Springdale Public Schools. She was active in numerous clubs and organizations.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Raymond W. Fisher whom she married Aug. 5, 1944, and her parents and two brothers.

Helen is survived by daughter Danna Fisher Moore and husband Steve of Columbus, Ind., son, Larry Fisher and wife Marilyn of Springdale. Grandson, Michael Bidwell, Jr. and wife Cheryl of Salem, Ore., three great-grandchildren Emily Bidwell, Charlotte Bidwell and Tyler Krambule.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at Butterfield Convocation Room with Rev. Judy VanHoose officiating. Private family burial will be at Elm Springs Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale.
