Lee Jess Poor, 77, of 524 N. 4th St., Rogers, died Nov. 28 at his home. Born Oct. 20, 1902, at Porter, he was the son of Wesley and Dora Clemons Poor. He moved to Rogers in 1942, and was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was a retired carpenter and a bee keeper. He was a member of the Northwest Arkansas Bee Keepers Association and served as president of the organization for six years.
Survivors include his wife Mrs. Ruth Wilson Poor of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Louise Harris of Rogers, Mrs. Laura Sue Burk of Sugarloaf, Calif., and Mrs. Loretta Compton of Benton; a sister, Mrs. Ada Phillips of Tyron, Okla.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Pentecostal Holiness Church, Rogers, with the Rev. Charles E. Faulkenbury officiating Burial will be in Rogers Cemetery under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Bentonville. Visitation hours will be 5-7 p.m. Friday in Burns Bentonville chapel.
