Don was an active member of East Side Church of Christ. He was a Christian before anything else. He was a loving, faithful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, firefighter, and woodworker. He worked as a Borden milkman, gas station owner, carpenter for many years, and was employed by the Arkansas Forestry Commission where he was a firefighter and played the role of Smokey Bear for 22 years. He retired from the Forestry in 2004. After retirement, Don didn't slow down. He remained active by being a volunteer firefighter on the Dodd Mountain Volunteer Fire Dept. and by being a member of the Stone County Fair Board.
Don loved life to the fullest and enjoyed many hobbies, especially those involving his family. He really enjoyed going fishing, especially with his grandchildren.
Don is survived by his loving, faithful wife, Dorothy Craig of the home. He is also survived by his children, Brent Craig and wife, Tina of The Colony, Texas, Danette Richardson and husband, Neal of Mountain View, and Bryan Craig and wife, Misty of Bay, AR.
Don and Dorothy were married May 22, 1960.
