Burl Wilson Dean, age 84, a resident of Russellville, AR, died Friday, April 7, 2000 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center at Russellville, AR. He was born on August 8, 1915 at Bass, AR, to William and Effie (Dickey) Dean. He was retired from Bibler Brothers Lumber Company and was a member and deacon of Second Baptist Church of Russellville. Mr. Dean was a former member of Dover Baptist Church. Mr. Dean was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Bibler Dean of Russellville; one son and daughter in law, Jerry L. and Karen Dean of Clarksville; one daughter and son in law, Janice F. and Horace Barnhouse of McALister; 5 grandsons; 4 great grandchildren; one brother, R.J. Dean of California; one sister, Sue Regallie of Lebanon.
Funeral service will be 10 A.M. Monday, April 10, 2000 at the Second Baptist Church officiated by Rev. David McLemore. Burial will be at the Rest Haven Cemetery at Russellville, under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday. Memorials may be made to Second Baptist Church.

Gladys (Bibler) Dean, 90, of McAlester, Oklahoma, formerly of Russellville, died Sunday, December 30, 2007 at Walnut Grove Living Center in McAlester. The daughter of David and Alida Johnson Bibler, she was born February 3, 1917 in Broomfield, Arkansas. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in McAlester. She was preceded in death by her husband, Burl Wilson Dean; her parents; three brothers, Odus Bibler, Glen Bibler and Ewing Bibler.
She is survived by a daughter, Janice Barnhouse & husband Horace of McAlester, Oklahoma; a son, Jerry Dean & wife Karen of Clarksville; five grandsons, Daniel Barnhouse & wife Jennifer of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Timothy Barnhouse & wife Vicki of McAlester, Oklahoma, Stefan Barnhouse & wife Jenny of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Joshua Dean & wife Carrie of Clarksville, Jerred Dean & wife Naomi of Clarksville; eight great grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 3, 2008 at Humphrey Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Paxton officiating. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park at Russellville under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
