Wife of Vernon Leon Moore
Betty Lou Thompson Moore of Paris, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2012 in Paris. She was born on December 3, 1934 in the Corley Community near Paris to her parents James J. and Vera Ida Anderson Thompson. She worked as a dietician at North Logan Mercy Hospital in Paris and was a loving caregiver to many children. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Mothers Society.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents James and Vera Thompson, her husband Vernon L. Moore and one grandson Jacob Leon Vines. Link to grandson of Betty Moore
Betty is survived by her two daughters Vicki Lynn Young Rice and husband Henry of Paris and Lisa Vines and husband Kenneth of Paris, one son James L. Moore of Arlington, VA; two sisters, Dorothea Hamilton of Independence, Missouri and Elaine Mertin of New Blaine, Arkansas; two brothers James Thompson of Scranton, Arkansas and Douglas Thompson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, nine grandchildren Cris Koch, Peggy Rogers, Samantha Rice, Jaime Jackson, Jason Vines, Jessie Vines, Jordan Vines, Josh Vines and Jon Vines; 13 great-grandchildren, Marcus Koch, Anna Koch, Michael Koch, Levi Koch, Sarah Koch, Stephanie Eagle, Jackson Rogers, Christian Lowery, Jenna Lowery, Reagan Lowery, Addison McGarrah, Arialle Jackson and Angelica Jackson and two great-great grandchildren Kingsley Koch and Cyler Gilpin.
Rosary services will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church officiated by Fr. Eugene Luke O.S.B..
Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Paris under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
