Husband of Betty Lou Thompson Moore
Vernon Leon "Slick" Moore, 73 of Paris died Friday, Oct. 22, 1999, in Paris. He was retired from a fiber glass insulation plant, a veteran of World War II, where he served in the U.S. Navy, and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paris.
Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at Roller Chapel in Paris. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery in Paris.
He is survived by two daughters, Lisa Vines and Vicki Young, both of Paris; one son, James of Alexandria, Va.; two sisters, Julia Neihouse of Midway and Betty Sidwell of Paris; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jason Vines, Jerry Koch, Tracy Rogers, R.C. Hamilton, Russell Hamilton and Daniel Lowery.
