SILOAM SPRINGS — Velma Lorene Heald, 95, of Siloam Springs died Aug. 5, 2011, at Siloam Springs Nursing and Rehab. She was born May 10, 1916, in Elk City, Okla., to Harry Allen Cavanaugh and Minnie Maude Atkinson Cavanaugh.
She lived most of her life in the Gentry area and was co-owner/operator of Heald's Service Station. She also was a cafeteria supervisor for Gentry School.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Heald and wife Judi of Okarche, Okla., and Allen Heald and wife Flora Mae of Siloam Springs; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Wasson Memorial Chapel in Siloam Springs. Burial will follow at Gentry Cemetery.
