Lavinnia Evans, 86 year old resident of Rt. 1, Siloam Springs, died Thursday, March 22, at the Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born April 11, 1892 in Simpson, Penn.; the daughter of Jacob 0. and Floretta Flemming Wiles. She had lived in Northwest Arkansas since 1936, moving here from Oklahoma. She was affiliated with the Baptist church.

She is survived by eight daughters, Mrs. Bertha Allen of Suisum, Calif., Mrs. Alberta Crowson and Mrs. Pat Giles, both of Tulsa, Okla., Mrs. Margaret Maupin of Upland, Calif., Mrs. Dorothy Wooten of Gentry, Ark., Mrs. Billie Gicking of Thousand Oaks, Calif., Mrs. Clara Smith of Midland, Tex., and Mrs. Shirley Kinslow of Osage Beach, Mo.; four sons, Orren W. Evans of Siloam Springs, Clarence E. Evans of Tulsa, Okla., Robert E. Evans of San Bernardino, Calif., Ronald E. Evans of Gentry, Ark.; one sister, Mrs. Hazel Swicegood of Bristow, Okla.; one brother, Clarence E. Wiles of Bristow, Okla.; 35 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Services were held at 10:00 a. m. Monday, March 26, at the United Methodist Church in Gentry with. Rev. Steve Brizzi officiating and burial in the Gentry Cemetery under the direction of the Wasson Funeral Home.
