Mrs. L. Arlene Norris Eldried
A Funeral Service for Lucy Arlene Norris Eldried of Bixby, Oklahoma, will be 1:00 pm, Sunday, November 17, 2013, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Randy Ludwig officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, November 16, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, at the funeral home.
Arlene passed away November 12, 2013, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma at the age of 85. She was born December 12, 1927, in Plainview, Nebraska, the daughter of Charles and Lois Tift Butterfield. She married Clarence Norris in 1945 and was married for 48 years until his death. She married Albert Eldried in 1998. Arlene worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse in public health. Arlene lived in Mountain Home since 1991, moving from Salina, Kansas. She then moved to Oklahoma to be with family. She enjoyed her family, volunteering and gardening.
Arlene is survived by her two sons, Edwin (Margie) Norris of Alvarado, TX and James (Jackie) Norris of Evansville, IN; two daughters, Linda (Darrel) Crowl of Bixby, OK and Sandra (Lynn) Robinson of Broken Arrow, OK; one brother, Les Butterfield of Mountain Home, AR; three sisters, Avis Forinash of Huttonsville, WV, Eva (Ernest) Campbell of Lebanon, MO and Fern (Gene) Frazier of Mountain Home, AR; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Clarence Norris and Albert Eldried; two daughters, Carol Jean and Janet Gilpin and two sisters, Alice Rust and Leila Parks.
Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, AR, with Jeremy Freeman, Michael Crowl, Daniel Norris, Daniel Crowl, Tyler Crowl, Jordan Tipps as pallbearers. Rich Crowl, Lynn Robinson and Randy Freeman will be honorary pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to Grace Hospice, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
[Note: Lucy Arlene Butterfield Norris Eldreid was buried beside her first husband and shares a double gravestone with him. As such, the gravestone has her listed as L. Arlene Norris.]
