(from New Hope) Mahala E. Henton was born near Cincinnati, Ohio Sept. 17, 1842; departed this life July 25, 1932 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hannah Farmer, at Akron, Ohio. She moved with her parents to Indiana when about 9 years old. A short time afterward she was converted and united with the Methodist Episcopal church. On Dec. 25, 1863 she was united in marriage to Wilson Coghill. To this union 10 children were born. All are living except one, Maggie, who passed away Aug. 25, 1893. The deceased moved with her family to Arkansas in November 1888 where she lived till after the death of her husband in January 1917. She has since made her home with her children, all of whom, except two, Henry Coghill of Brookfield and Oscar Coghill of Cedar Bluffs, Kan., were present at her funeral. She leaves many friends who deeply sympathize with the family in the loss of their dear mother.
