Walter Dayton Gosser, 71, of Mountain View entered into rest on March 4, 2009 in Batesville.
Walter was born September 21, 1937 in Fifty Six to Thomas Bryant and Sophia Lea (Eastham) Gosser.
He attended The Church of God in Mountain View. He was employed as a mechanic and he loved to play bluegrass music with the banjo. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.
He is survived by his wife Brenda LaVerna (Wallace) Gosser of the home; a son, Victor Scott Gosser and wife Lisa of Martin, Tennessee; a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Burns and husband Jonathon of Pleasant Grove; two brothers, Howard and Herbert Gosser both of Fifty Six; three sisters, Ada Osterman of Harrisburg, Argola Reed and Judy Ferguson both of Tuckerman and grandchildren, Christofer Gosser, Dayton Kay Burns, J.T. Burns all of Pleasant Grove and Ashby, Kelby and Kylee Smith and Anni Gosser all of Martin, Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Sophia Gosser; a daughter, Rebecca Ann Gosser; four sisters, Aldine Clark, Isoline Trammell, Anis Wilson and Mada Lea Welch and one brother, Edward Gosser.
Visitation is 6 – 8 p.m., Friday, March 6, 2009 at Roller Crouch Chapel, Mtn. View.
Funeral service is 10 a.m., Saturday, March 7, 2009 at The Church of God, Mountain View, Arkansas.
Officiating is Bro. Randy Farthing, Bro. Eugene Dixon, Bro. Darrell Gosser and Bro. Michael Jernigan with interment in Fifty Six Cemetery, Fifty Six, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Jon Burns, James Pinkston, Jackie Pinkston, Paul Ferguson, Mark Ferguson and David Ferguson. Honorary pallbearers are Gary Conway, Stanley Vaughn, John Elliott, Jimmy Osterman, Michael Gosser and Dewayne Welch.
