Ruth R DECAMP FRISK

Fifty-Six Cemetery
Stone County,
Arkansas

Daughter of Mr & Mrs J E Decamp
Aug 5, 1901 - July 6, 1946

*Daughter of Jesse Edger DeCamp and Grace Mrytle Noyes DeCamp. Ruth is their 3rd child and 2nd daughter, she has a total of 8 siblings.

Her father in census says that he was a Evaugelish Missionary others say Minister for Holyness. So she did a lot of traveling as a child in her home state of Kentucky and then Kansas.

On September 22, 1918 Ruth was united in marriage with Alvin James Frisk a widower in Woodbine, Dickenson, Kansas. At the time she was just 17. To this union 4 known sons were born. 1st in 1920 (now linked to her) 2nd one died at birth or shortly after and the 3rd & 4th were twins.

Though Alvin had 4 children from 1st wife, them being with them not to long after they married didn't work out, so those children went back to family members who had been caring for them after their mothers death.

She and Alvin ended up leaving Kansas going to a couple of other states, but ended up in California about 1925. Sometime after 1930 she and Alvin divorced. She keep the twins with her and let oldest son stay with his dad.

Sometime before 1940 she married Patrick R. Ryan and they with the twins were living in Los Angeles.

Ruth unknown to anyone had a heart defect. Which explains the stories of her having little or no energy. She passed away from what one son said was a leaky heart. Probably a bad heart valve. Quite amazing she managed to have 4 children born, hard to say how many she may of lost. Right now it is unknown if she was still married when she came back to Arkansas and passed at the young age of 44.
