*Obituary
DIED - In Melbourne, Friday morning, January 13th 1905, at the residence of Dr. E.A. Baxter, Mrs. Mildred Jane Powell ("Aunt Millie"), widow of the late W.S. Powell.
Sister Powell was a faithful member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, which she joined in 1874 and had been a lively member of the same up to the time of her death. Sister Powell was born in Kentucky, Sept 29th, 1840. She was a Godly woman. Sister Powell leaves three children - Mrs. Bettie Dixon, T.P. Powell and Mrs. Maggie Baxter; three brothers, T.J. Richardson, R.J. Richardson, Jessie Richardson and two sisters - Mrs. L.C. Bishop and Mrs. Mary Carter. The burial services were conducted by the writer, and we laid the remain in the Melbourne Cemetery, to await the resurrection. I.D. McClure.
