Trula Odean Gray, 94 of Searcy passed away Thursday, April 15, 2010. She was born Saturday, February 19, 1916 in Rose Bud, Arkansas to the late Lee Vernon and Mary Cooper. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen “Buss” Gray, two brothers, William Buster Cooper and Ray A. Cooper. Mrs. Gray was of the Baptist faith and attended the Calvary Baptist Church at the time of her death.
She is survived by two sons, Derrel Thomas and wife Marietta of Searcy and Verlon Thomas and wife Inez of Visalia, California; two step-daughters, Mary Jo Gunter and husband Carl of North Little Rock and Reba Post of Romance; five Grandchildren, seven Great Grandchildren; two Great-Great grandchildren; one sister, Vernie Kelley of Rose Bud; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Monday, April 19, 2010, at the Mt. Bethel Freewill Baptist Church on Hwy 36 near Rose Bud, Arkansas. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday April 19, 2010, at the Mt. Bethel Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Wiley officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Bethel Cemetery.
